Rome, Italy- Homeless woman laying on the ground begging for money in front of the famous stone amphitheater known as the Roman Colosseum located east of the Roman Forum. Officially known as the Flavian Amphitheater, it was commissioned by Emperor Vespasian as a gift to the Roman people. Gladiatorial combats and wild animal fights were held in the Colosseum as entertainment for the people of Rome for hundreds of years.
